Northern KY Special to Celebrate February's Spay/Neuter Awareness Month
Help us prevent the rampant overproduction of puppies and kittens in the Spring and Summer months that overwhelm local animal shelters each year. Thanks to Friends of the Shelter, spay/neuter surgery is only $25. You may schedule your appointment beginning Monday 1/24. Don't delay - these appointments will go fast! You must live in Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen or Pendleton Counties to participate. Don't miss out on this incredible offer.
The special is for the first 50 dogs and 50 cats whose owners contact UCAN. Go to the website ucancincinnati.org or call 513-721-7387 to schedule an appointment and note that you want the "FOTS Special." If your pet does not have a current rabies vaccine as required by law, they will be given one for an additional $10.
OAR is also participating by offering cat spay/neuter surgery for $25 for the first 50 cats whose owners contact OAR to schedule an appointment! Visit their website ohioalleycat.org/request-appointment or call 513-871-0185 to schedule an appointment and note that you want the "FOTS Special." If your pet does not have a current rabies vaccine as required by law, they will be given one for an additional $10. Transport options may be available through OAR - don't forget to ask!
And don't forget outside community cats can always be fixed at no charge. If you feed them, please fix them. Please call UCAN or OAR with questions.
After the limit has been reached our normal subsidies will return. See our Spay/Neuter Assistance page.
Friends of the Shelter will again hold the St. Patrick's Split the Pot March 6 through March 17. Drawing will be on March 18. Tickets are $5 each. Details will be coming in March. See our winter newsletter for more information.
